Evelyn O'Doherty
Owener, writer, & publisher of Standup Journal, Evelyn is also a SUP athlete, APP commentator, and stand up paddle (SUP), surf, and yoga instructor. She's a National Ambassador & Team Rider for top brands including: Kialoa Paddles, Starboard SUP, lulumon athletica, Indo Board Balance Trainer, Cobian Sandals, and Clif Bar.
Kristin Thomas
Kristin has been avid member of the SUP community since 2010. A few weeks after getting her first first board, she entered a race and was immediately hooked on the community, health & competition that SUP offered. Besides having raced in 100’s of races all over the USA and beyond, Kristin is the founding Director of the Stand Up Paddle Industry Association, a trade group for all types of Stand Up Paddle businesses.
Seychelle
In addition to being a SUP Film Fest Judge, Seychelle is a world-record speed paddler, badass podium-finishing professional SUP athlete, strength coach, SUPyogi, & brand ambassador. She also holds a Master boat captain's license, is an adventurer & an optimist!
Chris Aguilar
You've likely seen Chris in the water creating award-winning paddling films like Destination 3 Degrees, or XOXO, filming for the likes of Molokai2Oahu, QuickBlade Paddles, BARK Paddleboards, Surftech USA, & many others -- or on the water prone paddling in SoCal & beyond.
Sean Greeley
Sean is a well known photographer and videographer in the Stand Up Paddle industry. His worked has been published in several different media outlets. When Sean is not out taking photos he is helping run a kids SUP team in the Sacramento area. Sean Has helped influence the next generation of paddlers including his 9 year old daughter.
Chris Muniz
By day, Colorado native Dr. Chris Muniz teaches creative/critical writing and ethnic studies at the University of Southern California (USC). By night, he’s a DJ and music journalist pushing the underground sounds of drum and bass to a wider audience as DJ Nighstalker. No matter the milieu, Dr. Muniz strives to blur the boundaries and between academic scholarship and the performing arts.
Max Montgomery
Since 2001, Max been volunteering for Ride a Wave, co-founding organizations like Best Day, Tommie Cares, or starting Paddle4Good to help children with special needs enjoy surfing, paddling, snow sports, & more with thousands of community volunteers in CA, NJ, NY, and CT. An AHA-certified Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor as well as a WPA (World Paddle Association) Level 1 Certified SUP instructor, you'll also find the SUP Film Fest founder travelling, surfing, distance paddling, or working in tech.
